Visitors come here for its magnificent beaches with their emerald green seas. The beaches are among the best in the world with nearly twenty miles of fine sugar-white sand. relatively warm, and generally calm seas. From the beaches we can simply enjoy sun-bathing, or partake in more adventurous activiy with parasailing, jet skis, catamarans, and seaplane rides. Boating excursions are also available for sigh-seeing, dolphin watching, fishing, snorkeling, and diving. Ground-breaking for the first airport to be built in the United State for over 18 years has just taken place. Large corporations are daily announcing their relocation to this area. Two new them parks are planned and should open about the same time as the airport in early 2010. Disney is also building a new PUD community near the new airport similar to the one they built in Celebration, Florida near Disneyworld. The city has a new "City Beautification" project going on which will have large 20' sidewalks running from one end of Panama City Beach to the other with trees, beach access, and park benches.
